EV Charger Installation in New Jersey

Electric vehicles are becoming standard for commercial fleets, employee parking, tenant amenities, and property value. Whether you manage a commercial building, operate a fleet, or own multi-family housing, EV charging infrastructure is now an operational requirement. Voltus Energy Solutions installs Level 2 EV charging stations for commercial properties, multi-tenant buildings, parking structures, and residential properties throughout New Jersey.

We handle the full installation from electrical assessment through final commissioning. Every installation is sized for your building’s electrical capacity and designed to accommodate future expansion. We are a certified SBE (Category 1 & 4), MBE, and SEDB in New Jersey, licensed under NJ Electrical Contractor License #34EI01906000.

  • Commercial Properties: EV charging attracts tenants, employees, and customers. Installed charging stations signal a modern, forward-thinking facility.
  • Property Managers: Multi-family buildings with EV charging are better positioned for tenant demand and property valuation. Future residents expect it.
  • Fleet Operators: Keep your vehicles charged and operational. We design systems sized for fleet scheduling and load management.
  • Residential: We install home charging stations including Tesla Wall Connectors, ChargePoint, and other major brands, with dedicated circuits and proper panel capacity.

What’s Included with Your EV Charger Installation

Every EV charger installation includes a complete scope of work:

  1. 1. Site Evaluation We assess your building’s electrical capacity, parking layout, and conduit routing to determine the optimal charger location and configuration.

    2. Panel Assessment We inspect your existing electrical service to confirm it can support the additional load. If a panel upgrade is required, we include that in the scope.

    3. Charger Installation We install your specified charging equipment, whether owner-supplied or Voltus-recommended, with a dedicated circuit, proper overcurrent protection, and code-compliant wiring.

    4. Future-Ready Infrastructure We size conduit and panel capacity to allow additional chargers to be added later without reworking the original installation.

All installations are performed by licensed electricians and inspected to meet current NEC and local code requirements.

EV Charger Installation Cost & PSE&G Rebates (2026)

Our EV charger installations start at $1,500, including the dedicated circuit, permit coordination, and municipal inspection. Panel capacity and the distance from your panel to the charger location affect the final price – see our published pricing.

PSE&G’s EV Charging Program currently offers qualifying residential customers up to $1,500 toward a Level 2 charger installation – enough to offset most or all of a straightforward install – plus up to $5,000 toward a service upgrade if your home’s electrical service needs more capacity to support charging. The rebate pays out after the installation passes inspection, and we handle the permit and paperwork side with you. Note for 2026: the federal 30C tax credit for home chargers expired June 30, 2026, and PSE&G’s old off-peak credit has been replaced by a time-of-use rate – overnight charging still costs less, the enrollment just changed.
